I'd say to the first part... anyone who is serious about their long-term stability with an MLM and starts with a risky MLM is unwise at best. There are too many out there that are solid, have the track record, proven success and stand the test of time. About the founders of YTB, I think you're mistaken about some of your info. YTB is the first MLM that they've owned. As far as their personal business goes, the founder, Coach Lloyd Tomer sold his business to his son. In response to this: If the only product that you sell is "travel" in the tradition sense of the word, you certainly DO NOT have the same product that we have in YTB. YTB has lots of other travel related products and websites that your company does not have including: a celebrity golf website, sporting tickets, theater tickets, event tickets, honeymoon registry packages, passports, flowers, etc. The bottom line in this as in life is: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! There are no free rides here people. You absolutely get what you pay for. Traverus I'm sure is good at what they do, but as compared to YTB, they just don't compare. The company simply does not and I suppose at this point, cannot offer people in its business the quality or quantity of goods and services that YTB offers. Indeed, YTB is the preferred brand, as proven by the fact that YTB didn't go to Travelocity to ask to be in partnership with them... they came to YTB... as did many of our other partners - RO

Keep in mind folks. YTB is seasoned with veteran MLMers in leadership. Traverus just came on the scene. It was a brick and mortar travel agency but just got into the MLM biz and has a limited at best track record for both MLM and online travel. The failure rate for MLMs is higher than that of normal businesses that have figures of 95% failing in the first 5 years. I wouldn't be so fast to jump in just because the entry fee is a little lower. RO

I agree with Regina. You have to look at more than just the price when you're signing up for or considering a business opportunity. Look at what you're getting for your money. They're a lot of travel companies out there that are card mills in disquise. Also look at the stability of the company itself. YTB is 6 years old. We're growing faster than ever. . . over 10,000 RTA's signed in only the first 3 months of 2007. We're soon going Global, and it's been announced that we will be featured AGAIN in Success from Home magazine in 2008. Let's also not forget that YTB is on the Stock Exchange. I think that we're making a mistake getting tied up in the numbers. The bottom line is about passion. Do you have a passion for what you're selling? Someone with passion can join a progam for $1,000.00 and make it a success, if they have passion and a purpose. However that same person can join a company for $10.00 and not have any passion or commitment and end up doing nothing. The compensation plan is meaningless if I don't produce. The bottom line is that the benefits of a program are personal to each individual. I can't tell you that program X is better than program Y. I can only tell you what program X has done for me and why I'm passionate about it. I've seen several people on CB sing praises of a specific network marketing company one month, and the next month they're singing praises of a different one. Why would I want to sign up with someone under those circumstances? I guess the bottom line is what's best for one person may not be a good fit for another...regardless of price. Now you getting into comparison thats what I want to discuss. Many of the people who are trying YTB are finding that in this economy 500.00 is to much of an investment so they are not hitting all the bonuses they are advertising. Angelia I am not going to debate the benefits of YTB vs Traverus with someone that does not speak the truth. I put my wife and daughter into YTB because I could get them in at less than $500. Was well worth the money. I built a team of over 30 people in a short period of time. Most all got in at less than $500. They too saw the value. After that only a few people have gotten in at $500. I still help them if needed but if someone wants to get into a travel business, I now have the ability to offer people a choice. It is their decision. YTB or Traverus if the choive I give them. I got into Traverus for $119 and since I travel all the time for my business I now have a choice of which one to use. Same search engine for both. Bet you did not know that fact. As far as needing to upgrade to CTA, it cost $149 for the training at YTB, $50 at Traverus and passing an open book test. YTB additional Association training to sign up non-profits, $149. Same training at Traverus is not needed. They both charge $49.95 per month for your site, so that is a mute point. - David

Very true comments I would say it is hard to say any business is the Best. Different strokes...you know the saying. That is why Coke offers more than one type of Drink There is more than one type of Pizza Place and Cheeseburger So saying something is the best is hard to swallow in food and in MLM. Funny How most successful business models all believe in diversification find the consumer that is drawn to certain types of Products. Even though travel is not for EVERYONE it is the #1 searched for product online. So the market is larger for consumer interest than any other product. So the question on the table in this forum is. How much are you going to buy your burgers for, How much are you going to sell the burger for. What type of commission do you get and what type of volume do you need for a profit. I personally think www.travelbizinc.com has a better price point for the product. I am not Hating on YTB I wish I knew about it when it was ground floor. I missed that one 4 yrs ago. Traverus Travel..It has a greater potential of massive duplication Where as YTB those who get in now cannot duplicate all the big money earners coming in 6yrs later building a downline underneath them. I have to agree, Expensive programs are good to sell if you have access to a large list of leads. Its a numbers game. But I guarantee I can find MORE people a lot quicker selling a 119.00 dollar program than a 500 dollar one. Has nothing to do with the product as Travel is just that about price. Most of the people who market on the internet and are successful selling big ticket items have LARGE LIST of subscribers. Its a number game. If you are selling a 500 product you are going to have to make a lot more exposures to get people to join.

I agree with Pastor Brewer Why pay $500 for something when you can get the same product for $119. The remaining $380 can be used to fund marketing , a nice gift for the spouse, or to help a family member get started in business as well. I am informed because I have researched both businessess and find I get more ROI from the $119 travel business in terms of business growth potential and compensation. There are many site on the internet of conversations with other travel agents discussing which opportunity is the most duplicatible for a person to get invloved with as a home based travel agent agent.

One person said"$500---Thats a lotta hard work ta get back ya INVESTMENT!!!???? WoW! I can tell ya about a $500 BONUS but $500 to get started in a Home Biz????? Not I! Much Success In All You Do- Ron" Many People are finding it difficult to build large downlines with YTB $500 entry Price point. Many people are not aware YTB use to cost $250.00 so people trying to build the business today at double the price point are not seeing the growth the history of the company is recording.
