Speaking on credibility. If you want to know how many problems YTB is having in the Travel Industry. Just look at the fact that cannot book directly through major Hotel vendors such as Marriot hotels or the Hilton or Hyatt! What Kind of Travel Agent or legitimate travel business cannot book clients Directly with these vendors. I am not talking about the travelocity booking website that has a 50/50 split of commissions before you see a dime. I am talking about functiong as a true travel agent which YTB reps cannot do because they are not a real Travel hosting agency. They are a Referring Agent that is different.
Why would someone pay $500.00 to be a Sub travel agent and not be able to service thier clients fully is beyond me. You cannot Book through Royal Caribbean Cruiselines or Perillio tours or Norweigan Cruise lines. All these Limitations when you can Work with all these vendors for only $199 with Traverus and be a True Travel Agent and be Fully International. I have Travel Agents in Germany, Italy, South America and Isreal I even have one in Japan. YTB just got into Canada after 7 years I already had Travel agents in Canada before they got there and by the time YTB hits any other of the Travel markets, Traverus will already be there with a Price point of 199 vs 500 and people are not going to pay more money to be less of a travel agent it does not makes sense. so YTB vs Traverus is no comparison at all. Spend your time trying to part people from $500.oo + an additional $150 to get Trained LOL if you want to. Your only pushing a compensation plan not a real product and that is YTB no longer has Travel Agent License or Credentials with IATA.
It's a huge discussion all over the Net YTB Canada vs Traverus Canada.
Once you look at YTB or Traverus side by side you soon find there really is no comparison its night and Day. People who typically switch from YTB to Traverus just found that no matter how good of a recruiter they are, the name of the game is duplication and they quickly found out that many people cannot consistently sell a product for $500.00 6 times over and over to keep getting those bonuses. Plus you have to give your first 3 or 6 to your upline. So you really need 9 to 12 people before you get your first bonus. That is crazy. You will not get and residual income off the first 6 people you enroll they go to your sponsor its called a 6 up. Sad part is the DSA direct selling association which YTB is apart of knows that the average networker only signs up 2.3 people into a networking opportunity so the vast majority never make it to the power team and never make any real money. YTB rep earning compensation report also shows that as well. YTB Commissions reports :-(
Rank | #of Reps at this level | % of Active Reps | Overall % of Reps |
Free Reps | 246837 | 0.0% | 80.92% |
Active Reps | 44926 | 20.95% | 14.73% |
Power Team Leaders | 12198 | 1.60% | 4.00% |
Coach's Corner | 931 | .21% | .31% |
Level 1 Director | 122 | .04% | .04% |
Level 2 Director | 22 | .01% | .01% |
Level 3 Director | 8 | .009% | .003% |
Level 4 Director | 5 | .002% | .002% |
Level 5 Director | 1 | .002% | .0003% |
Level 6 Director | 2 | .003% | .0007% |
Level 7 Director | 3 | .005% | .0010% |
Wow Look at the Numbers starting with the first line The Free Rep Position! 80% of the reps in the company are in the free spots because they could not afford the $500 Start up Cost. That is proof the program is over priced for the Market place. Most of YTB Growth comes from Free Reps and not Agents.
Overal Active Reps is close to 15% that are not Directors and not making any real income at all. All the other directors positions that make up %5 of the company making any real commissions. These are the people in the success from home magazine and the top income earners but as you see the Vast Majority Make nothing.
You have less than a 1% chance of becoming a director in YTB. Because of the 6 up compensation plan and the $500 Start up plus the $150 training Fee. $650 to turn around and get 6 other people to do the same to and get $50 a piece. You don't get a $1000 bonus for your first six. Your upline does you don't get that till your next 6. and The Numbers Show that most of your TEAM will NEVER reach it and you set them up in a compensation plan and company where they will most likely fail than succeed. These are numbers from YTB.com own site http://www.ytb.com/downloads/YTB_IncomeDisclosure_2-8-08.pdf
Listen Position yourself with a Real Travel Company that has more average people making above average incomes more than any other company. I have been able to retire from my 6 year Management position at the bank and you can make money allot easier with this company with a product at 199 than you can for 500 in this economy.
Give me a call and get your questions answered.
If you see like we see that going around trying to twist $500 out of people is not going to be highly duplicatible to build a downline give me a call!

YTB FranchisesWow! This is one of the Hottest topics on the Internet! YTB company and Reps are Furious that anyone especially someone in Traverus would discuss their business model Change. They want to shut our mouths Big Time. It has been a Fued since the beginning when when the Brick and Mortar Traverus Changed its Business Model from a 22 year old Traditional Travel Agency to a Networking business model.
YTB Franchises Transition will experience what Traverus and any other company that chooses to change it's business model will...attrition. That is a fact.
I have worked for Corporate America and Managed Sales Teams and Departments for 20 years. I know what happens when any organization makes changes. First thing is your communication and
YTB Franchise is wise by spoon feeding information. You have to give people bits at a time to Digest. So you start with your Leadership and management to get them all on the same page first. That was done 3 weeks ago. Then you start packaging your message to the field about the
YTB Franchise transition.
Now just because there was a Chat room discussion about
YTB Franchise. They are doing all this damage control and spin sending Emails to the leadership. Im like WOW! Sensative!
Well for those who inquiry minds and want to know the facts without all the Drama here ya go.
YTB Franchises will help YTB introduce more YTB products into their business model.
YTB Franchises wants to be able to use the word "franchises in a Network Marketing Model" to get more acceptance in Recruiting.
YTB Franchises wants to get into the International markets.
RTA's do not have to Switch to the
YTB Franchise model and can keep their downlines.
RTA's Will be invited to switch to the
YTB Fanchise Model and will get an good deal to do it. But not required to switch to the Franchise.
RTA's who Switch to the
YTB Franchise model will have access to everything in the RTA model as well.
More coming at Convention Folks. Have a Great one. and don't be so threatened and Call us so many names because we are both in the Travel Industry and we should both keep upto date on what other companies are doing in our industry.
I was with YTB and have nothing bad to say about them. I just saw a fresh Start with a Ground floor Company That was Already international and Cost Less Called Traverus. I felt more people could afford the program and I was was right. I am glad I made the change. and Glad for all of the people who are doing well in this Industry.

Regulation FD Disclosure
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On July 15, 2008, Mr.
Scott Tomer, Chief Executive Officer of
YTB International, Inc. (the "Company"), announced that the Company is contemplating the
replacement of its referring travel agent ("RTA") business model with the implementation of a franchise operating system, potentially in 2009. The Company expects that a franchising model, if adopted, would facilitate the Company's expansion into additional markets by providing more comprehensive training and a new proprietary e-commerce platform. Details regarding price, product offerings and the conversion plan are all under consideration, but the Company anticipates that its existing RTA base would be treated favorably under its forthcoming proposal. If a franchising model is adopted, its distribution is expected to be managed by subsidiary and current marketing arm of the Company,

As a Pastor this is very sad to see. This Change to
YTB Franchises is going to affect Hundreds of Thousands of Hard working YTB rta's. YTB has struggled with alot of battles with thier business model of recruiting for $500 and it's no secret for those in the know that retention is a problem. When you look at the income disclosure statements you see the real numbers in YTB behind all the flash videos and meetings.
This move to
YTB Franchises confirms all of the rumors that
YTB is going to start selling many products and not be a real travel company but a Marketing arm like Amway. YTB Franchises will have
YTB Cars,
YTB Flowers,
YTB Mortgage,
YTB Insurance,
YTB, YTB, YTB- YTB Franchises what every product they want to sell to their massive downline.
People who are interested in continuing to have travel Perks will look for companies like Traverus. That has been selling Travel for over 22years as a Brick and Mortar Travel Agency that has no intention of selling anything but Travel, and the most of it. Traverus has a True Home Based Certified Travel Agent position.
YTB business model of its
YTB RTA and
YTB CRTA postions have never been denied by the
YTB Corporation as not being anything Close to a Certified Travel Agent. Only the
YTB field directors and YTB power team leaders and
YTB presentations would have people believe that is some how the same.
Those who are intersted in Traverus and our 22 year old Travel Agent Postions Give me a call.
